Dr. Obaidullah Faiq graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Community Health. He then went on to study at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Faiq received clinical honors during many of his rotations, including from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. He was also recognized for clinical excellence in pediatric care from the prestigious Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Faiq has advanced training in providing primary eye care, medical management of ocular diseases, and the fitting of specialty contact lenses including sclerals and orthokeratology. Dr. Faiq has a particular interest in the treatment and management of dry eye disease, glaucoma, and myopia control. He is also notably experienced in providing medical diabetic eye exams, diagnosing and monitoring macular degeneration, and in the co-management of Lasik and cataract surgeries.
In his spare time, Dr. Faiq enjoys traveling, playing sports with friends, and spending quality time with his family. Dr. Faiq grew up in Northern Virginia and is pleased to be serving the diverse patient population of the area.
